Great selection of Korean dishes and barbecue at an inexpensive price.
Loved this place. Authentic Korean food. I had the nnangmyeon and galbi combo and it was perfect on a hot summer day. Will come back here!
Delicious food
They still make the silkiest tofu soup in the area in my opinion. Beef ribs are very good as well even tho the price has been jacked up by a lot recently. The octopus pot is also very good for large group dining. Service is on point, nothing spectacular. Always ask for more Kimchi, even tho sometimes they will say no.
Good place for cheap Korean-style tofu soup
I really love their dishes. I always get great service there. The place is always clean and the workers are always friendly. Will come visit again.
Came for lunch. Very pleasant atmosphere and great service. Great selection of banchan... 7 items. Ordered steamed egg (shown in picture), fried mandoo (excellent), duk mandoo soup and oukojie tang (forgive the mangled spelling). All were excellent.
Food is authentic and delicious! Reminds me of being in Korea. Service was perfect. So attentive. Love the delicious variety of sides. Can't wait to come back again.
Food was okay but I wasn’t too happy with one waitress. I noticed that my egg was gone. I asked my friend where it went and he said the waitress took it. I don’t put an egg in my soup because it changes the taste but I paid for it and she should have asked me if she could take it back. I thought this was very disrespectful. I asked for coke then she brought me a can of coke and a cup, but it didn’t mean I didn’t want water so I asked for water after drinking my coke, then she brought her pitcher and she was about to pour it into my cup. I told her the cup was already used for my coke and she said, “Does it matter?” And I said yes it does then she made some weird face and went to go get another cup. It wasn’t even like the restaurant was busy. There were about only 4 tables and there were more than 2 waitresses serving. I wanted to see her manager but my friends stopped me.
One of my favorite Korean restaurants
One of my go-to places to eat. convenient location, neat, and good customer service. I highly recommend them!
Really good food and friendly service.
One of my favorite places to go in Rockville. The Soondooboo lunch is my go to, but the bibimbop is also good. Not a fancy place, but filling and not expensive.
We like a lot eating out. Last night we visited this superb restaurant which friends told us about. We spent a beautiful time there with great food and an efficient stuff and a talented chef. We put this place in our list and we shall surely return soon. We warmly recommend.
I always get togo food, the food was so good and the staff that took my order gave me a water melon while I waiting. They were so nice ❤️❤️
This place is the perfect Korean comfort food restaurant for me. The dishes all have a home made taste and so does the environment. The staffs are super friendly. I also love the price as well. Not very inflated.
When you see the old Koreans going to have their comfort food there, you feel that you’re in the right place.Steam egg, dumplings, are great! The bulgolgi for two.( cooked on the table) great! The best short ribs , but THE BEST!!!!
Great food, very nice people and outstanding service.
The kimchi pancake was phenomenal! Host was super friendly and receptive to all my questions about what's vegetarian and what's not.
Got the spicy tofu soup. So good. Decor, lighting and service could be a bit beter. But overall delicious.
Their food is great! I took my parents out on a Sunday to grab lunch and the staff was very friendly. Everyone “stopped working” to say hi and was completely thrown off because I’ve never had such a welcome. We all ordered the beef bulgogi and it came with kimchi, steamed rice, bean sprouts, and fish cake. We also ordered a seafood pancake. Everything priced out to be about $70 and we were shocked by how much food we had left over to take home. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for some authentic Korean BBQ. We’ll be back to try the Ramen.
I got the mushroom tofu soup which was absolutely delicious.
This Korean Restaurant is a complete GEM! There authentic selection is amazing! The environment is good, and clean. The owner is always there. The food is amazing and the family environment is wonderful. Great for birthday fun and business social meetings.
Not great, average quality Korean food
Delicious food. I love the tofu soup. No changing tables for babies in the bathroom. I hope that can be changed.
Pretty authenticate Korean tofu soup
Always dependable always consistent in quality and taste ! Korean comfort food at its best !
This place. I love this restaurant so much. Their kimchi is my absolute favorite from any of the other Korean food joints in the area. The portions are big. Their banchan is varied. They are known for their tofu soups but everything I have gotten here is delicious.
Vast selection of authentic style of Korean food from 80s-90s. I feel that priced little too high for certain dishes such as pancake and most of dinner. Lunch combination is a good deal and served with your choice of tofu soup in sizzling pot.
Good service
I ordered seafood soft tofu stew. I was almost finishing it and I found a "hair" in my stew. It was thin, short black hair interwined with soft tofu. Honestly it was so disgusting. So I told a man there is a hair in my food but what he says to me was " isn't it shrimp?".. What a great response. Does he think I can not differentiate black hair and pink shrimp antennae? No apology, no refund... nothing.. They just say bye. What an awful restaurant I had. I would like to give zero star !!!
Great authentic food. The owner (cashier) very friendly..
Great Korean food. New owners and good service.
Heavily underrated. Friendly staff and tasty food. Would definitely try again.
Very kind staff and nice food as always :)
Tofu soup, ramen and bulgogi that I tried are all well done! Enough spice and taste. Usually not a lot of people, so no need to wait. The only thing is that the air is not fresh inside the restaurant.
Good for their kalbi, seafood pancake, tofu soups, and noodles with octopus in Korean spicy sauce.
I ate dinner here bulgogi stew toward Harrisburg from Washington D.C.
Wonderful Tofu soup!I’ve had a lot of Korean food and it’s one of my favorite places.Waitresses here are polite and offer good service, not sure why people left bad reviews here(I read a few).Really enjoyed my lunch here today. This place is definitely recommended if you’re craving for Korean food.
Seafood soup 👍👍
Great for some comfort food by yourself, dates, or big groups. I've been here countless times with my boyfriend and a couple times with coworkers; they can accommodate larger groups (I went with about 12 coworkers during lunch and they combined several tables for us). My go-to is the beef soondooboo and pork bulgogi combo. I've also had the chicken bulgogi before but that time it came with much more onions than did the pork. The kbbq short ribs are also a good choice. The meal comes with complementary kimchi: fish cake, cabbage, radishes, cucumber, and bean sprouts. Staff is very friendly and attentive. It's quite filling but I love to have it for any meal.
This place is my preferred one. I eat in a lot of restaurants but to this restaurant I keep coming back again and again. The crew is very warm and the food they offer is so yummy. I never miss an opportunity to have a good meal here. Highly recommended.
This isn't just a restaurant. It's an experience. My girlfriend and I dream of going to this place all the time. Boiling, spicy tofu soup with choices of meat or veggies and kimchi, with bowls of white rice to complement the flavorful food. You can order sides of meat as well with the combo deal. The meat has always come out hot and is perfect with the soup. Coming here during the weekdays for lunch is great due to the reasonable price.
Has a bigger menu than what I expect. Small parking lot outside, pretty large space on the inside. Good for casual dining. Food is basic but reliably good.
Tasty food! Slightly pricey but a good time. Not too full on a sunsay night pretty empty actually
The food was varied and delicious. The service was prompt and pleasant. The decor was fun. The bill was inexpensive considering all we got.
Quick service and the food is served up so greasy good(which means excellent, btw)! It's filling, tasty, but most importantly it's unbelievably satisfying. I always leave with a smile and counting down the days to the next visit. Get the Korean pancake in whichever flavor you want, but only get the large size because the only thing you realize after you take that first bite is regret. You're gonna want more. As per custom in Korean restaurants, the meal includes great little tapas dishes of pickled veggies which are refilled by request for no charge. Now go ahead and get some already!
Went in for the ramen left with out my dignity :(
Great korean food for an affordable price. But their seafood pancakes have lost their sheer; no longer crispy and packed with seafish
I like this korean place. Ate here after a few years of not visiting and i enjoyed the food. Definitely coming back.
